Growing up in East Tennessee was to grow up in a rainbow of colors, from the brilliant shades and hues of spring flowers to the flaming reds and yellows of autumn leaves.

I, Jim, could not appreciate the beauty of those Appalachian ridges and valleys until I had left them for college and the Army. Fishing the lakes and rivers and hiking the mountain trails were pleasures that I could only appreciate when they were warm and colorful memories. Each time I came to visit, my spirits seemed to jump at the sight of the mountains of east Tennessee. Through college, the U.S. Army, graduate school, and a sales career, I always loved visiting the hills of Tennessee. When I retuned permanently a few years ago, I knew that I had really come home.

I, Philomena, lived in Philadelphia for 20 years and Virginia for three. Then I came to East Tennessee. I fell in love with the place and never left. I made Cleveland my home because of the beauty and serenity that surrounds the area. I have personally sold homes to people who were just stopping by on their way up North. Like me, those people fell in love with the beauty of the town.

What does this have to do with real estate? Just this. Southeast Tennessee is absolutely a wonderful place to live.
